The Blue Jackets look to make it two in a row as they head to Boston to take on a Bruins team coming off a huge win over the Rangers yesterday.
The Blue Jackets shook off an ugly loss to the Edmonton Oilers in Edmonton earlier in the week in which they were waxed by a 7-0 mark and got their revenge yesterday by doubling up on the Oil by a 4-2 count. Columbus will look for their second win in as many nights as they travel to Boston to take on the Bruins playing in a back to back as well. Columbus has received some pivotal goaltending this year much like they did last season but it hasn’t come on a consistent enough basis to have the Jackets in playoff contention at the moment but there is still plenty of time to turn things around. The Jackets will send Sergei Bobrovsky to the crease after he had the day off yesterday while the Bruins will go with Tuukka Rask who is once again enjoying a very successful season.
The Bruins found themselves trailing by a 2-1 mark in the third period against the New York Rangers yesterday but rallied for a pivotal overtime victory that landed them two points. Boston now find themselves in top spot in the Eastern Conference and are three points clear of second in the Atlantic division and with another win here against the Jackets they can continue to pad that lead. Both teams are playing in a back to back which makes me stay away from this line a little but as the B’s are heavy favourites but I just don’t see the Jackets having enough offense to stick with the Bruins or having the physicality to slow Boston down in the defensive zone. Take the Bruins on the puck line.
