The Boston Bruins host the San Jose Sharks in Tuesday NHL action.

The San Jose Sharks are gunning for back to back wins after downing Detroit on the road by a 5-3 count on Sunday. Darren Helm, Gustav Nyquist and Mike Green scored for the Red Wings who held a 3-1 lead. Justin Abdelkader logged a pair of assists and Jonathan Bernier gave up four goals on 36 shots to get the loss for Detroit.

Joe Pavelski paced the San Jose offense with a hat trick with Tim Heed and Brent Burns also lighting the lamp. Marc-Eduard Vlassic and Logan Couture posted two assists each for the Sharks and Aaron Dell picked up the win with three goals allowed on 23 shots.

The surging Boston Bruins saw their offense go flat in a 2-1 SO loss at St. Louis on Saturday that ended a seven game winning streak. Chris Wagner scored in the second for the Bruins off assists from Kevan Miller and Torey Krug. Charlie Coyle netted the only goal for Boston in the shootout and Tuukka Rask allowed a goal on 29 shots.

Alexander Steen tallied in the first period for the Blues with Oskar Sundqvist assisting. Tyler Bozak and Sammy Blais scored in the shootout for St. Louis and Jordan Binningham recorded 31 saves to secure the two points.
