The Boston Bruins returned to the ice on Tuesday night and persevered through a sluggish effort to defeat the Calgary Flames. Zdeno Chara scored his first goal of the night during a second period that saw the Bruins outshoot the Flames 15-4. Chara would add another goal in the third period to lead the Bruins to a 2-0 victory. Tuukka Rask had to make just 21 saves to pick up his 17th win of the season and record the shutout. It wasn't exactly the type of performance the Bruins were hoping for but for the first game back from a long road trip the biggest thing was finding a way to get two points. Now the Bruins find themselves back on the road against a division rival that hs really struggled this season but has been playing some more competitve hockey under Ted Nolan. Buffalo has been losing a lot of games by one goal lately and that's because they've found a way to start playing some better defense in front of Ryan Miller but they're still having a hard time scoring. This Sabres club just isn't equipped with the offensive talent to get the job done on a night in and night out basis but they managed to scrap together some goals on Tuesday against the Winnipeg Jets. Trailing 2-0 in the second period it was Steve Ott who got the Sabres back in the game with his fourth goal of the season. The Sabres would rally in the third, getting goals from Marcu Foligno, Matt Moulson, and Matt Ellis on their way to a 4-2 win. Obviously the Sabres don't have much to play for this season aside from a lot of these young guys fighting for jobs and the veterans playing for pride. Buffalo seems to get up for these divisional match ups but the Bruins have too much fire power and because we're getting them on the road here we're not seeing a crazy number. At this price I'l take the Bruins and not think twice about it.
