The Florida Panthers look to snap out of their ugly road losing skid as they head into Buffalo to battle the Sabres on Friday night.
The Panthers look to find a way to win away from home and tighten up their defense as they head into Buffalo to take on Jack Eichel and the Sabres in Friday night action as both teams look to head into the weekend with a victory. Florida started the season as though they were going to challenge for a playoff spot in the Eastern Conference but they have since reverted back to a league doormat and until they can find a way to keep the shot count down on their goaltenders and find some kind of consistency on the road they are going to be a tough group to back when placing our wagers. The Cats are expected to send Roberto Luongo to the crease who hasn’t had much support this season as he will face off against Robin Lehner who is out to prove the Sabres made a great decision to back him as their every day starter.
The Sabres meanwhile have had a decent start to the year but are still underachieving as they have just five wins in their first 15 games and haven’t quite been able to generate the consistency many thought we would see after a lengthy off season. Buffalo does have some pretty solid pieces at both ends of the rink and are banking on Eichel to lead this group to a playoff run in the coming seasons and against a Panthers side that can’t seem to find a way to win games away from home the Sabres are actually getting a pretty decent price at home here.
The Panthers are 3-13 in their last 16 road games and 11-27 in their last 38 overall while the Sabres are 4-9 in their last 13 against the East and 27-56 in their last 83 following a win. These teams can’t seem to keep pucks out of their net this season so this looks like a good a spot as any to hammer the over.
