Ottawa Senators (5-5-2) at Buffalo Sabres (6-5-2)
|Date & Time||Saturday November 3, 2018, 2:00 PM (EDT)|
The Line: Buffalo Sabres -177 / Ottawa Senators +133 --- Over/Under: 6
The Ottawa Senators visit the Buffalo Sabres in a Saturday NHL tilt.
The Ottawa Senators defeated Buffalo 4-2 on Thursday in the first leg of a home-and-home series. In the process Ottawa put an end to a four game slide behind a complete effort at both ends of the ice.
On the flip side, the Buffalo Sabres have now dropped three straight after winning three in a row. Buffalo didn’t get their offense going until the third period where Jason Pominville and Jeff Skinner scored.
Jack Eichel assisted on both goals that cut the Sabres deficit to 3-2 but that is as close as this would get. Carte Hutton took the loss for Buffalo with three goals allowed on 31 shots.
The balanced Senators offense received goals from Ryan Dzingel, Dylan Demelo, Colin White and Bobby Ryan. Mark Stone and Thomas Chabot each posted a pair of helpers and Craig Anderson picked up the win for Ottawa with a 48 save performance.
Over is 3-0-2 in Senators last 5 vs. a team with a losing record and over is 3-0-1 in Senators last 4 Saturday games and over is 3-0-1 in Senators last 4 overall. Over is 3-0-1 in Sabres last 4 games playing on 1 days rest and Sabres are 1-7 in their last 8 vs. Atlantic and over is 6-1-1 in Sabres last 8 vs. Atlantic. Under is 6-1 in the last 7 meetings in Buffalo and under is 15-5-2 in the last 22 meetings.
Buffalo desperately needs a split in this home-and-home series and I think that depends on controlling the scoreboard..
