The Flames look to keep their magical run intact as they head back to Anaheim who has their eyes set on the next round.
The Calgary Flames were unable to defend home ice only managing a split in the two games at the Saddledome and now they have to head back to Anaheim in hopes of winning in a building they haven't won in in ages. The Flames had a major culture change this season as they were expected to be in the running for a lottery pick but once they started winning they really turned things up and have been a really enjoyable group to watch and with the core they have in place they will be a very successful team for a number of years. However, the Flames are in tough here as the Ducks have been steamrolling teams this season and after a 4-2 win in game four on Friday night this could be the end of the line for this season's Calgary Flames.
The Ducks continue to prove why they are the best regular season team over the last few seasons with playoff success to follow and after sweeping the Jets in the first round they could book their ticket to the Western Conference finals against the Blackhawks with a victory on Sunday. Anaheim could very well have swept this series as the Flames needed a late third period marker to force overtime and then scored from the point in the extra session giving them a bit of life but game four's loss has all but sealed their fate. The line on this one has the Ducks as big time favourites and while it has been great watching the Flames I think their season comes to an end tonight in what should be a high scoring game.
