The Flames look to ride the momentum from the home crowd on Tuesday night when they welcome the St. Louis Blues to the Saddledome.
The Blues head into Alberta looking to get back in the win column after a loss their last time out but they will be in tough against a Flames team who has high hopes for this season thanks to the emergence of their young core. The Blues were a bust in last year's postseason as many had them pegged to win it all but another first round exit has them labeled with a choker tag at the moment and until they can eradicate that and break through with a lengthy playoff run they will be considered one of the best regular season teams over the last few years that never made the jump.
The Flames meanwhile are looking to get back to the Western Conference playoffs after a surprising run a year ago but in the Pacific division they will have some company as it is one of the deepest in the league and possesses some serious Cup contenders. Calgary always seem to get up for games at home against quality opponents and that fits the bill here nicely as the Blues are seen as one of the game's best and with Brian Elliott going between the pipes it gives the Blues the edge. However, I think the blue line cancel each other out here and offensively the Flames can hold their own and as a home dog they are a perfect contender for a juicy victory for us.
