West coast NHL action pits the Vancouver Canucks against the Calgary Flames.
The Vancouver Canucks are looking for consecutive victories after downing the Edmonton Oilers 4-2 on the road Thursday. Ryan Nugent-Hopkins scored a first period power play goal for Edmonton with Leon Draisaitl also lighting the lamp on the PP in the second. Connor McDavid assisted on each goal and Mikko Koskinen absorbed the loss for the Oilers with four goals allowed on six shots before Cam Talbot stopped 14 shots in relief.
Vancouver did all their scoring in the first with Tyler Motte, Brock Boeser, Elias Pettersson and Antoine Roussel all finding the back of the net. Nikolay Goldobin posted a pair of helpers and Jacob Markstrom picked up the win for the Canucks with 30 saves.

A 4-1 win at Winnipeg on Thursday. Adam Lowry scored unassisted in the second for Winnipeg with Connor Hellebuyck getting the loss with three goals scoring on 28 shots.
Johnny Gaudreau topped the Flames offense with a hat trick with Mark Jankowski scoring a shorthanded goal. Elias Lindholm had two assists and Sean Monahan added three helpers for Calgary who received 35 stops from David Rittich.
