The Vegas Golden Knights end the NHL regular season at the Scotiabank Saddledome with the Calgary Flames.

The Vegas Golden Knights look to end the regular season on a winning note after Edmonton ended their three game winning streak 4-3. Brayden McNabb, Brandon Pirri and Oscar Lindberg scored for Vegas and Malcolm Subban allowed four goals on 33 shots.

The Oilers received scoring from Ryan-Nugent-Hopkins, Matt Benning, Michael Cammalleri and Ty Rattie. Connor McDavid added three helpers for Edmonton and Cam Talbot picked up the win with 30 stops.

The Calgary Flames have been slumping for quite awhile with losses in 13-14 where neither end of the ice has been able to carry the team. Calgary enters the final game of the season off of a 2-1 defeat at the Winnipeg Jets on Thursday.

Spencer Foo scored in the second for the Flames with Jon Gillies taking the loss with a 24 save effort. Blake Wheeler and Paul Stastny lit the lamp for the Jets who saw Connor Hellebuyck improve to 43-11-9 with 31 saves.

Golden Knights are 8-1 in their last 9 road games vs. a team with a losing home record and under is 5-1 in Golden Knights last 6 Saturday games and Golden Knights are 9-2 in their last 11 Saturday games. Flames are 0-4 in their last 4 home games vs. a team with a winning road record and under is 4-0 in Flames last 4 vs. Western Conference and under is 6-0 in Flames last 6 games playing on 1 days rest.

I don’t know how much interest we are getting from either side with this game being meaningless so take that in account…

I have been a sports fan since I was old enough to pick up a ball and have always been drawn to competition. I don't participate in sporting events any longer but I do like to provide my opinion on games and writing gives me that outlet. I won't always be right but I always put 100% in to every article I do whether it's the World Series or an 0-10 college football team. Mitch shares that same passion and allows me to express myself in my own way.
