The Florida Panthers go on the road to oppose the Carolina Hurricanes in a Friday NHL matchup.

The Carolina Hurricanes are gunning for a third consecutive win after downing visiting Toronto 5-2 on Wednesday. The Maple Leafs saw John Tavares and Kasperi Kapanen light the lamp with Travis Dermott posting the only assist while Frederik Andersen absorbed the loss with three goals allowed on 46 shots.

The Hurricanes scoring came off the sticks of Trevor van Riemsdyk, Justin Williams, Micheal Ferland, Sebastian Aho and Andrei Svechnikov. Jordan Staal logged two helpers and Curtis McElhinney picked up the win for Carolina with 30 stops.

I have been a sports fan since I was old enough to pick up a ball and have always been drawn to competition. I don't participate in sporting events any longer but I do like to provide my opinion on games and writing gives me that outlet. I won't always be right but I always put 100% in to every article I do whether it's the World Series or an 0-10 college football team. Mitch shares that same passion and allows me to express myself in my own way.
