The Nashville Predators go on the road to face the Carolina Hurricanes in a Sunday NHL tilt.
The Nashville Predators dropped a 4-3 OT decision at Columbus on Thursday but have still won five of seven. . Nick Bonino, Viktor Arvidsson and Mattias Ekholm scored in the third for Nashville. Ekholm also had an assist and Pekka Rinne recorded 32 saves to secure a point for the Predators.
Columbus saw Boone Jenner score in the first and third with Artemi Panarin lighting the lamp in the third. Panarin netted the overtime winner and Zach Werenski added two helpers for the Blue Jackets who received 32 saves from Joonas Korpisalo.
The surging Carolina Hurricanes have won six of seven after downing Buffalo 4-3 on Friday. Jeff Skinner, Jason Pominville and Kyle Okposo scored for the Sabres. Rasmus Dahlin assisted twice and Carter Hutton allowed four goals on 30 shots to get the loss for Buffalo.
Sebastian Aho scored twice to lead the Hurricanes with Justin Williams and Michael Ferland reaching the scoring column. Teuvo Teravainen posted a pair of helpers for Carolina who received 30 saves from Curtis McElhinney.
