The Chicago Blackhawks host the Arizona Coyotes in a Thursday NHL tilt.

The Arizona Coyotes have just one victory in the early going following a 2-1 loss at the Minnesota Wild on Tuesday night. Arizona took a 1-0 lead on first period power play tally off the stick of Brendan Perlini with Jordan Oesterle and Vinnie Hinostroza assisting. Darcy Kuemper absorbed the defeat for Arizona with two goals scoring on 28 shots.

Minnesota got the equalizer off the stick of Mikael Granlund in the second with Eric Staal potting the winner at 6:18 of the third period. Devan Dubnyk picked up the win for the Wild with a 31 save performance.

The Chicago Blackhawks had dropped back to back overtime contests before upending the St. Louis Blues 4-3 in OT on Saturday. Brayden Schenn  scored twice for St. Louis with David Perron adding a goal while Jake Allen gave up all four goals to absorb the loss.

The Blackhawks received a third period goal from Alex DeBrincat who tallied the OT winner as well while Artem Anisimov and Patrick Kane scoring in the first.  Cam Ward picked up the win for Chicago with 35 stops.

Under is 5-0 in Coyotes last 5 vs. Western Conference and under is 4-0 in Coyotes last 4 vs. a team with a winning record and under is 6-0 in Coyotes last 6 overall. Over is 5-0 in Blackhawks last 5 vs. Pacific and over is 4-0 in Blackhawks last 4 vs. a team with a winning % below .400 and over is 5-0 in Blackhawks last 5 games playing on 3 or more days rest. Coyotes are 0-4 in the last 4 meetings in Chicago and Coyotes are 1-9 in the last 10 meetings and over is 6-2-1 in the last 9 meetings.

The Blackhawks have done their share of winning in this series and plenty of goals have been scored and I am looking at both…

I have been a sports fan since I was old enough to pick up a ball and have always been drawn to competition. I don't participate in sporting events any longer but I do like to provide my opinion on games and writing gives me that outlet. I won't always be right but I always put 100% in to every article I do whether it's the World Series or an 0-10 college football team. Mitch shares that same passion and allows me to express myself in my own way.
