The Blackhakws look to keep rolling with a chance at locking up their third win in a row on Monday when they host the Coyotes at the United Centre.
The Coyotes have been a league doormat this season and a punching bag for some of the game's top teams and Monday's matchup looks to be another case of that for a team that has fallen on hard times on the ice. Arizona has long been a team competitive enough to get into the playoffs in the Western Conference which is saying a lot as most of the game's top teams are in the West but this season has been a nightmare and will likely continue moving forward as the team is likely to part ways with some of its biggest names by the trade deadline cut off. Mike Smith is expected to get the call as he will go up against Antii Raanta who will relieve Corey Crawford for the night.
Chicago is back on track after getting shut out in back to back contests and have now won two in a row heading back home to face the Coyotes. Chicago is coming off an impressive 4-2 win over the St. Louis Blues in Missouri yesterday in what is a statement type game for them moving forward and they are now within four points of the Blues for second place in the division in what is shaping up to be a first round matchup between the two division rivals if Nashville can hold its place atop the Central. This should be a cake walk for the Hawks who will likely lay a beating to the Coyotes and while it may look like a let down spot after yesterday's big win I don't see Arizona having enough in the tank offensively to stay close.
