The Blackhawks look to keep rolling and win their sixth game in a row as they host the Buffalo Sabres on Friday night.
The Buffalo Sabres have their work cut out for them heading into the United Center on Friday night as they face off against one of the league’s hottest teams and the defending champs who have been lights out on home ice. The Sabres are in a battle right now as they have dropped five straight and have fallen to the basement of the Atlantic division and sit just a single point up on the Blue Jackets for the worst record in the Eastern Conference. The Sabres have a ton to look forward to in the future but for now they will be hard pressed to match up against most teams and especially against contenders like the Hawks in hostile territory.
The Blackhawks meanwhile are going on a tear right now and look like the team that has dominated the NHL over the last five years and could very well be a threat to win another Stanley Cup again this year. The Hawks are still very deep across the board and Patrick Kane is having an MVP type season and when you add in the fact that a ton of these guys have a winning pedigree and have been playing together for years it adds another factor that most other teams lack. If Chicago loads up at the deadline they will be tough to stop but until then they are still very dangerous and should keep their winning ways going here.
