The Nashville Predators travel to the Windy City to take the ice with the Chicago Blackhawks in Friday NHL.

The Nashville Predators look for a road win when the team visits the Chicago Blackhawks on Friday. Nashville missed out on an opportunity to pick up two points in a 3-2, shootout loss to the visiting Calgary Flames. On Tuesday night.

This a difficult defeat for the Predators and their fans with the team taking a 2-0 lead in the first and then not scoring again. Filip Forsberg and Roman Josi both lit the lamp with the man advantages just 1:14 apart. Matthew Tkachuk and Michael Ferland scored in the third for the flames before Tkachuk tallied  the game winner in the SO.

Mike Smith paced the Flames between the pipes with 28 saves to improve to 5-4 while Pekka Rinne fell to 4-1-2 with both goals given up on 32 shots with Nashville going 0-1-1 in their last two.

The Blackhawks opened the scoring on a shorthanded tally from John Hayden but the Golden Knights tied it on a William Karlsson power play goal 26 seconds later before Tomas Nosek scored for a 2-1 lead. Pierre-Edouard Bellemare upped the Vegas lead to 3-1 in the second before Jonathan Marchessault put the game out of reach with another PP goal.

Patrick Kane cut the lead in half with 65 seconds remaining but time ran out on the Blackhawks. Corey Crawford made 29 stops in the loss while rookie Oscar Dansk turned aside 29 shots to get the win for Vegas.

Under is 4-0-2 in Predators last 6 Friday games and under is 4-0 in Predators last 4 when their opponent scores 2 goals or less in their previous game and Predators are 1-7 in their last 8 road games. Blackhawks are 1-7 in their last 8 vs. Central and Blackhawks are 2-11 in their last 13 vs. Western Conference and
Blackhawks are 1-5 in their last 6 when their opponent scores 2 goals or less in their previous game. Under is 2-0-3 in the last 5 meetings and Predators are 4-1 in the last 5 meetings and Predators are 3-10 in the last 13 meetings in Chicago.

The Blackhawks have so much talent this team is expected to win every time they take the ice but I know this team sometimes doesn’t play at max effort…

Pick:
Chicago -135

I have been a sports fan since I was old enough to pick up a ball and have always been drawn to competition. I don't participate in sporting events any longer but I do like to provide my opinion on games and writing gives me that outlet. I won't always be right but I always put 100% in to every article I do whether it's the World Series or an 0-10 college football team. Mitch shares that same passion and allows me to express myself in my own way.
