The Blackhawks look to gain some ground in the Central division with a win at home on Sunday while the Rangers can inch closer to the Islanders if they can gran the victory.
The New York Rangers can pull to within a single point for top spot in the Metro division with a win on the road on Sunday as they head into the United Center to do battle with the Blackhawks. The Rangers continue to be one of the league's best teams and have done so without the services of Henrik Lundqvist who remains sidelined with a neck injury but Cam Talbot has done a great job of filling in and he will get the call again here today. New York has 18 victories on the road this season but will be in tough against the Hawks who are 21-9-4 at home but are still without Patrick Kane and it'll be tough to replace his minutes and productivity. The Rangers are coming off an OT loss but are 7-1-2 int heir last 10 games while the Hawks have won two straight and are 6-3-1 in their last 10.
The Blackhawks will look for yet another win on home ice and to climb back into the race for the Central division crown as they trail both the Predators and Blues and if the playoffs started today they would find themselves in a tough spot having to travel to St. Louis for a possible game seven scenario. Chicago is still one of the best teams in hockey and has a ton of depth and balance and they're going to need it down the stretch without Kane who may not even be back for the playoffs with a shoulder injury. This is going to be a great game between two of the league's best but for this price I will gladly take New York as they have a better goal differential and are rolling right now while the Hawks continue life without their best player.
