David Perron spurred on the St. Louis offense with a hat trick with Alexander Steen and Joel Edmundson also joining the scoring column. Brayden Schenn posted two helpers and Jake Allen recorded 31 saves to get the win for the Blues.
The Chicago Blackhawks squandered a 2-0 lead in a 4-3 overtime loss to Minnesota that saddled the team with back to back defeats. Alex Debrincat led Chicago with two goals with Dominik Kahun also lighting the lamp. Jonathan Toews logged a pair of helpers and Cam Ward made 42 saves for the Blackhawks.
Minnesota received regulation goals from Eric Staal, Jason Zucker and Ryan Suter with Zucker scoring his second in the extra session. Staal and Suter and Zach Parise also added two assists each to make a winner of Devan Dubnyk and his 27 stops.
