The Blues look to shake off a shut out loss at home to the Kingsl ast night as they head into the United Center to battle the Blackhawks.
The St. Louis Blues were the walking wounded last night against the Kings and it cost them dearly as they were blanked by Jhonas Enroth in a 3-0 final that has them in a tough spot once again on Wednesday. The Blues got Vladimir Tarasenko back in the line up but his health was still a cause for concern and without Paul Stastny and Jaden Schwartz it certainly put a dent in the or offensive depth and against a good team like the Kings that can burn you. The Blues will turn to Brian Elliott in this one as he will go up against Corey Crawford in a Central division show down we can maybe expect to see in the playoffs.
The Blackhawks meanwhile are coming off a big time win at home over the Kings and now the trifecta is complete between these three teams as Chicago hosts St. Louis tonight. Chicago is looking every bit as dangerous as they were last season and even though they are without Duncan Keith at the moment they are stepping up and filling that void and a win against the Kings on Monday really demonstrated that. Chicago will look to go back to the well once again in a pivotal early season show down with the Blues and with St. Louis playing in a back to back here and being a little short changed in terms of their offensive depth I have to give the edge to the home team here and I think the odds makers will agree once the line is out.
