The Lightning look to exact some revenge as they head into the United Center on Saturday in a Stanley Cup rematch with the Blackhawks.
The Tampa Bay Lightning saw their season end at the United Center last year as the Hawks hoisted the Stanley Cup and you can bet the Bolts have that image burned into their retinas as motivation to get back there this season. Tampa gets its first crack at the Hawks tonight as they are coming off an impressive overtime win in Winnipeg last night and can make it two in a row with a win in this one which would give them six on the year. Tampa has a ton of offensive fire power but Tyler Johnson has been quiet to start the year and as such Steven Stamkos has been as well but what better way to break out than against the defending champs. Kristers Gudlevskis will get the start in goal as he will go up against Corey Crawford.
The Blackhawks won their first game without Duncan Keith as they took down the Panthers 3-2 at the Mad House on Thursday but tonight's game will prove to be more difficult as they welcome Tampa to town. Chicago has a lot of the pieces that propelled them to last year's Cup title but perhaps the mnost important is out of the lineup as the Conn Smythe winner is absent for the foreseeable future and certainly won't be a factor tonight. The Hawks have a ton of depth at the back end though and while Keith is irreplaceable they should be able to manage as best as you can in this circumstance and could be much worse off if they didn't have that depth. I am tempted to take Tampa here as they have a ton of angles working for them but Gudlevskis is unproven and unless Bishop goes back to back I think you have to take the home team here.
