The Canucks and Blackhawks renew hostilities in Chicago on Sunday as the visitors look for their third win in a row while the Hawks aim to take their 17th of the year.
The Vancouver Canucks have been inconsistent to start the year but have come out on the right side of some pretty interesting games and thanks to a two game winning streak they are back at the .500 level and sit in third place in the Pacific. The Canucks are coming off a win against the New York Rangers and now take to the road to face off against the defending champions as Ryan Miller aims to prove he is still among the league's top goalies as he faces off against Corey Crawford. Vancouver is 6-5-5 on the road this season while the Blackhawks are 11-3-1 at the United Center.
The Blackhawks are looking to repeat as Cup champions and while the task is very tough to pull off they have the talent to do so and with the way Patrick Kane is playing right now it is realistic to assume they will make a push deep into the postseason once again. Chicago is 16-10-4 on the year but of those victories 11 of them have come at home and as one of the toughest buildings in the NHL it is very tough for opponents to come in and generate a solid game plan and tonight should be no different. The Canucks are a good team but not a great one while the Hawks are the defending champs for a reason and I think they prove it here.
