The Line: Chicago Blackhawks -105 / Vegas Golden Knights -115 --- Over/Under: 5.5
The Chicago Blackhawks collide with the Vegas Golden Knights in NHL action at the United Center.
The Vegas Golden Knights haven’t jumped out of the gates like we saw a season ago but might be heading in that direction with wins in three of four after downing San Jose 6-0 on Saturday. The Sharks ran in to a hot goalie but struggled in their own nets with Aaron Dell allowing all six goals on 30 shots.
Max Pacioretty topped the Vegas attack with a pair of goals with William Karlsson, Colin Miller, William Carrier and Alex Tuch joining the scoring spree. Reilly Smith had a pair of assists and Marc-Andre Fleury brushed aside 33 shots to pick up the win for the Golden Knights.
The Chicago Blackhawks avoided a third consecutive defeat with a 5-4 OT victory at Florida on Saturday. The Panthers received scoring from Mike Hoffman, Jared McCann, Aaron Ekblad and Frank Vatrano. Jonathan Huberdeau gave Florida two assists and James Reimer allowed four goals on 38 shots.
David Kampf, Patrick Kane, Alexandre Fortin and Alex Debrincat scored in regulation for Chicago with Erik Gustafsson netted the winner in OT. The Blackhawks received two helpers from Gustav Forsling while Cam Ward recorded 34 saves to get the win.
Golden Knights are 0-5 in their last 5 after scoring 5 goals or more in their previous game and under is 4-0 in Golden Knights last 4 Tuesday games and under is 7-1 in Golden Knights last 8 after allowing 2 goals or less in their previous game. Blackhawks are 0-5 in their last 5 after scoring 5 goals or more in their previous game and Blackhawks are 0-6 in their last 6 when their opponent scores 5 goals or more in their previous game and under is 5-1-1 in Blackhawks last 7 vs. Western Conference.
Vegas has been showing signs of getting and staying hot and I have to go with the side that is winning right now…
