Chicago +125 / Washington -152 / over-under: 5.5

The Washington Capitals are on the road to face the Chicago Blackhawks in a Sunday NHL tilt.

The Washington Capitals have been in a bit of a funk with four straight losses after a 2-0 loss to the visiting NY Islanders on Friday. Washington has scored four times in this stretch and Braden Holtby took the loss in this one with both goals allowed on 26 shots.

The Chicago Blackhawks have been struggling with five consecutive defeats after a 4-3 loss at the NY Rangers on Thursday. Brandon Saad, Alex Debrincat and Dominik Kahun lit the lamp for the Blackhawks with Collin Delia allowing three goals on 32 shots to get the loss.

The balanced New York offense saw scoring from Filip Chytil, Chris Kreider, Mats Zuccarello and Mika Zibanejad. Kreider also had an assist while Henrik Lundqvist recorded 24 saves to get the win for the Rangers.

Capitals are 0-4 in their last 4 overall and under is 7-0 in Capitals last 7 road games vs. a team with a home winning % of less than .400 and Capitals are 0-5 in their last 5 vs. Western Conference. Over is 3-0-1 in Blackhawks last 4 games playing on 2 days rest and over is 5-0-1 in Blackhawks last 6 home games and over is 4-0 in Blackhawks last 4 vs. a team with a winning record. Over is 3-0-3 in the last 6 meetings and home team is 13-3 in the last 16 meetings and Capitals are 8-2 in the last 10 meetings.

Both teams are in a funk but if Washington is going to score it will be against the Chicago defense. Bet if you dare…
