The Blackhawks look to shake off a sloppy loss in Nashville last night as they return home to battle the Jets at the United Center.
The Winnipeg Jets scored early and often against the Blue Jackets on Thursday night but a late game collapse almost cost them a victory as they held on for a 6-4 victory at home. The Jets have had a bit of a tough start and heading into Friday night's encounter with the defending champs they sit in sixth place in the Central and trail Chicago by four points. The Jets are 6-9-1 on the road this season and will likely turn to Mike Hutchinson in this one as Ondrej Pavelec remains sidelined and they will go up against Corey Crawford who will look to give the Hawks their 11th win on Madison this season.
The Hawks have been a tale of two teams this season as they are dominant at home but pedestrian on the road and until they can rectify their woes outside of Illinois they are going to struggle to stay afloat in the league's most competitive division. Chicago does have the group to repeat as champs but they need to start rolling in a hurry as aside from Patrick Kane who has been absolutely ridiculous this season and has scored at least a point in 24 straight games, the offense has been rather quiet. Expect that all to change in this one as the Hawks were flattened last night and a trip back home against a Jets team in a back to back should cure what's ailing them.
