The New Jersey Devils face the Colorado Avalanche in a Sunday NHL tilt.

The New Jersey Devils have won back to back road games after knocking off Vancouver 3-2 in a SO on Friday. Elias Pettersson and Tanner Pearson scored for the Canucks. Petterson scored in the shootout and Bo Horvat posted two assists for Vancouver who received 31 stops from Jacob Markstrom.

Kevin Rooney and Stefan Noesen scored third period goals for New Jersey. Drew Stafford and Damon Severson netted shootout goals and Mackenzie Blackwood picked up the win for the Devils with 25 saves.

The Colorado Avalanche have dropped three of four following a 5-3 loss to visiting Anaheim on Friday. Nathan MacKinnon, Mikko Rantanen and Sven Andrighetto scored for Colorado. MacKinnon also posted an assist for the Avalanche and Semyon Varlamov allowed four goals on 36 shots.
Corey Perry led Anaheim with a pair of tallies with Ryan Getzlaf, Daniel Sprong and Hampus Lindholm also lighting the lamp. Getzlaf and Cam Fowler posted two helpers each and John Gibson gave up three goals on 44 shots to get the win for the Ducks.

Devils are 16-35 in their last 51 road games and Devils are 3-7 in their last 10 vs. Western Conference and Devils are 4-11 in their last 15 in the fourth game of a 4-in-6 situation.

Avalanche are 2-5 in their last 7 overall and Avalanche are 2-8 in their last 10 vs. Eastern Conference and Avalanche are 0-4 in their last 4 vs. Metropolitan.

Devils are 1-6 in the last 7 meetings in Colorado and Devils are 4-11 in the last 15 meetings and under is 19-6-5 in the last 30 meetings.

Neither team has numbers that stand out so instead of paying the huge juice I would go small on New Jersey or walk away…

Pick:
New Jersey +1 // will update

I have been a sports fan since I was old enough to pick up a ball and have always been drawn to competition. I don't participate in sporting events any longer but I do like to provide my opinion on games and writing gives me that outlet. I won't always be right but I always put 100% in to every article I do whether it's the World Series or an 0-10 college football team. Mitch shares that same passion and allows me to express myself in my own way.
