The Senators look to follow up their offensive outburst in Dallas last night as they head into Colorado to do battle with the Avalanche.
The Ottawa Senators had one of their best games of the season last night in Dallas and at the time of writing they are leading the West front runners by a score of 6-3 late in the third period and look to be on their way to victory. The Sens made a statement that they are a team to be reckoned with in the Eastern Conference and currently hold down the second seed in the Atlantic and while they are unlikely to catch the Canadiens any time soon they still have their sights set on the top seed though it’ll be a tough task to pull off. Craig Anderson will likely get the call as he will go up against Reto Berra.
The Avalanche head into action on Wednesday looking to escape the Central division basement and improve on their woeful home ice record in the process but against a Sens team that is playing with confidence it won’t be an easy out. Colorado is just 2-5-1 at home this season while Ottawa is 6-2-1 on the road which makes this a very interesting game as the Avs have been playing better of late but Ottawa looks to be the better team overall. I am siding with the value on the road team here as Ottawa continues to play well and they get another victory in this one.
