The slumping Colorado Avalanche fell at Boston 2-1 in overtime on Sunday for loss number seven in a row. Nathan MacKinnon gave Colorado a 1-0 lead with 33 seconds remaining in the first. Semyon Varlamov was charged with the loss for the Avalanche with both goals allowed on 35 shots.
John Moore scored in the second for Boston and Brad Marchand lit the lamp at 4:03 of overtime. Marchand also had an assist for the Bruins who received 35 saves from Jaroslav Halak.
