Another night and another victory for the Colorado Avalanche on Friday night. This club has got a ton of confidence right now and it doesn't seem to matter who they play they feel they're going to come out with a win. They got their 13th win in 15 games against the Calgary Flames thanks to goals from Ryan O'Reilly, Paul Stastny, John Mitchell, and Matt Duchene. Jean-Sebastien Giguere made 30 saves to pick up the win. They'll welcome the Washington Capitals to town on Sunday night and the Caps will be looking to bounce back after a rough loss on Saturday night in Phoenix. Washington blew a two goal lead in the third period with the tying goal coming with under two minutes to play in regulation before they finally lost in a shootout. Troy Brouwer, John Carlson, and Joel Ward scored second period goals for the Caps but it wasn't enough as they were outshot 14-6 over the final 20 minutes and couldn't hold on. It's a quick turnaround for them here and it won't be easy against the best team in the NHL at the moment.
