The Colorado Avalanche go on the road for the first time this season after winning consecutive home games. Colorado comes off of a 5-2 victory against Philadelphia behind strong performances at both ends of the ice. Sean Couturier and Mikhail Vorobyev tallied for the Flyers with the loss going to Brian Elliott who gave up four goals on 34 shots.

The Columbus Blue Jackets are gunning for their first win on home ice after dropping their home opener 3-1 against Carolina on Friday. The Blue Jackets only goal came in the first off the stick of Brandon Dubinsky on an assist from David Savard. Sergei Bobrovsky took the loss for Columbus with three goals scoring on 35 shots.
The balanced Carolina attack produced goals from Jordan Martinook, Sebastian Aho and Micheal Ferland each finding the back of the net with Aho and Ferland logging assists. Curtis McElhinney got the win for the Hurricanes with 31 saves.
