The Columbus Blue Jackets look to send the Los Angeles Kings to their first regulation loss of the season as the two sides meet up on Saturday.
The Kings look to continue their strong start to the season as they head into Columbus on Saturday night in what should be an exciting show down between two playoff caliber rosters looking to make an early season statement. The King shave quietly pieced together a very strong start to the season as they are 5-1 in their last six games overall and are looking like a group capable of getting back into the Stanley Cup final this season as they have a ton of depth and a winning pedigree that should put them in a position to be among a handful of teams involved in the discussion as a potential Stanley cup contender.
The Jackets meanwhile look to make a big statement here and send the Kings to their first regulation loss this season and with Sergei Bobrovsky back in the crease they are certainly capable of pulling that off in this one. The Jackets have been hit and miss for me over the last few seasons but the Russian national in the crease is more than capable of getting it done and a home game against a good Kings side is certainly worthy of a competitive show down.
The Kings are 4-1 in their last five following a win and 6-2 in their last eight against he Metro while the Jackets are 4-1 in their last five and 31-13 in their last 44 home games. The Kings have looked great so far and is a team we will back a bunch but in this spot on the road I see them losing their first game of the season.
