The Flyers look to end a two game slide and get back in the win column as they head into Columbus to take on the Blue Jackets.

The Flyers have had a tough season and are likely going to miss out on the playoffs this year but they certainly aren't going to roll over as this is a tough franchise that won't stop until the final whistle of the season. Philadelphia has a solid roster but obviously has some holes or else they wouldn't be just a single game above .500 and many of those holes are on the blue line and come time for trade deadline time it'll be interesting to see if the Flyers unload some pieces or whether they will stand pat and try to rebuild in the offseason. Claude Giroux and Jakub Voracek have had incredible seasons statistically and if they can get a piece or two up front and land a top end blue liner this franchise could get right back in the mix next season and take charge of the Metro division. Steve Mason is likely to get the call in goal as he will go up against Curtis McElhinney.

The Blue Jackets have been one of the league's biggest underachievers this season and heading into tonight's game they sit three games under .500 and are well back of the wild card race in the Eastern Conference. Columbus does have a relatively young roster and could very well jump back into the mix as early as next season and with a relatively good draft pick in this year's draft they should bring in another talent to add to the fold led by Ryan Johansen. Columbus has a rock solid goaltender in Sergei Bobrovsky but he has been sidelined for a couple weeks now and his timetable for return is undetermined and in the mean time Curtis McElhinney will continue to do his best to stop the bleeding. I am not a fan of this Jackets team and getting a Flyers team who has been playing much better of late with a 6-2-2 mark and with Columbus playing in the first leg of a back to back I think we get a great effort here from Philly.
