The Blue Jackets look to snap San Jose's five game winning streak and claim their second in a row in the process when the teams meet up in Columbus on Sunday.
The San Jose Sharks continue to be the most difficult and frustrating teams to handicap as they are consistently inconsistent and go on ridiculous stretches of futility and then follow that up with spectacular play as they have done in their last five games. The Sharks head into Columbus looking to retake sole possession of top spot in the Pacific division and with their very impressive 9-3 record away from home and a big time victory yesterday against the Penguins the Sharks have to be feeling pretty good and should be considered big favorites in this spot. Martin Jones will liekly get the call as he will go up against Sergei Bobrovsky.
The Blue Jackets look for their ninth win of the season and continue to build momentum after a dreadful start cost their former head coach his job but a Sunday match up against a red hot Sharks team could be a tough out. Columbus has a decent roster but aren't scaring any of the league powers at the moment and until they can full regroup from their slow start I doubt too many will consider them as a threat in the Eastern Conference. Columbus is 3-6 at home this season and have been bad overall so I have no idea why they are favoured here against the Sharks who have won five in a row and nine games total on the road. Take the Sharks here.
