The Las Vegas Golden Knights look for their second win in as many nights as they travel from New York to Columbus to face off with the Blues Jackets on Monday.
The Golden Knights are on a tear right now and have recovered nicely from a sluggish start to the season as they are 10-3 in their last 13 games overall and have dominated teams from the Metro division lately going 5-1 in their last 6. The Knights have had issues winning on the road this season but luckily for them most of their games so far have been away from home which means the second half of the season should even out for them and they will likely get even better than they are at the moment. The Knights are 5-1 in their last 6 games against a team with a winning record and after outlasting the Rangers in overtime last night at Madison Square Garden they will look for another victory against a Jackets side who is just 2-5 in their last 7 games overall.
The Blue Jackets are hoping some home cooking will give them a much needed victory as they have slumped out of the Metro division playoff picture and are looking like a team whose best hope is a wild card spot. Columbus has been up and down to start the season and they are in the midst of a swoon but they have shown they can play their way out of a funk and much of it will have to do with the play of former Vezina winner Sergei Bobrovsky. The Jackets have played to the Under in 7 of their last 8 games against the Pacific division and have been in low scoring games in 4 straight overall while the Knights have hut the Under in 9 of 13 against a team with a winning record.
The Knights are 2-5 in their last 7 against a team with a losing home record and have hit the Over in 4 straight Monday games while the Jackets are 1-5 in their last 6 against the Pacific and have gone Over in 5 of their last 7 games on a Monday. The Knights are big underdogs here and for no reason as they are the better team and should get a victory against a sluggish Jackets team.
