Friday NHL action pits the Boston Bruins at the Dallas Stars.
The Boston Bruins saw a modest two game winning streak end in a 6-3 defeat at Colorado on Wednesday. Jake DeBrusk scored twice for the Bruins with David Pastrnak also reaching the scoring column. Pastrnak also posted an assist but Jaroslav Halak yielded all six goals to get the loss for Boston.
The Avalanche were balanced offensively with Gabriel Landeskog, Mikko Rantanen, Matt Calvert, Nathan MacKinnon, Tyson Jost and Alexander Kerfoot each lighting the lamp. Mikko Rantanen also added two helpers and Semyon Varlamov gave up three goals on 23 shots to get the win for Colorado.
The Dallas Stars are looking for a change in momentum after a 2-1 defeat to visiting Columbus on Monday saddled the team with losses in four of five. Alexander Radulov scored the lone Dallas goal in the second with Miro Heiskanen and Jamie Benn assisting while Anton Khudobin was charged with two goals on 28 shots.
Cam Atkinson and scored in the second and Pierre-Luc Dubois lit the lamp with the winner midway through the third. Atkinson also assisted to lift the Blue Jackets and Sergei Bobrovsky and his 26 saves to the win.
Under is 5-0-1 in Bruins last 6 after allowing 5 goals or more in their previous game and under is 4-0-1 in Bruins last 5 games playing on 1 days rest and under is 3-0-1 in Bruins last 4 following a loss of 3 or more goals. Stars are 4-0 in their last 4 games playing on 3 or more days rest and Stars are 0-4 in their last 4 Friday games and under is 4-0-1 in Stars last 5 vs. Atlantic. Bruins are 5-0 in the last 5 meetings in Dallas and under is 4-0 in the last 4 meetings and Bruins are 5-1 in the last 6 meetings.
Dallas at home is enticing but the Bruins have been a bit more consistent in my eyes…
