The surging Calgary Flames visit the Dallas Stars in Tuesday NHL action.
The Calgary Flames continue to rack up the wins with victories in eight of nine after blasting St. Louis 7-2 on Sunday. Oskar Sundqvist and Tyler Bozak scored in the second for the Blues. Vince Dunn assisted on both goals and Jake Allen received the loss for St. Louis with four goals allowed on 16 shots before Jordan Binninham stopped 10-12 shots in relief.
Johnny Gaudreau and Alan Quine led the Calgary offensive explosion with two goals each with Matthew Tkachuk, Elias Lindholm and Mark Giordano also lighting the lamp. Lindholm completed a three point nigh with a pair of helpers and David Rittich recorded 26 stops to get the win for the Flames.
The Dallas Stars have followed a three game winning streak with a four game skid after a 6-4 defeat at Colorado on Saturday. Tyler Seguin paced the Stars with a pair of goals with Esa Lindell and Jamie Benn lighting the lamp as well. Alexander Radulov logged two helper for Dallas who saw Anton Khudobin stop 17-20 shots in relief with Ben Bishop Bishop absorbing the loss with two goals allowed on 16 shots.
Mikko Rantanen and Gabriel Landeskog each lit the lamp twice for Colorado with Matt Calvert and Nathan MacKinnon also reaching the scoring column.
MacKinnon also posted three assists and Rantanen assisted twice to lift Colorado and the 38 saves of Semyon Varlamov to the win.
