The Chicago Blackhawks go on the road to oppose the Dallas Stars in a Thursday NHL bout.

The Chicago Blackhawks have an opportunity for back to back wins in what seems like forever after downing visiting Nashville 2-1 on Tuesday. The Predators scored the only goal of the first period with Kevin Fiala lighting the lamp with Pekka Rinne allowing both goals on 36 shots in a strong albeit losing effort.

The Blackhawks saw Gustav Forsling and Erik Gustafsson score in the second period with Patrick Kane and Jonathan Toews supplying assists. Cam Ward picked up the win for Chicago with a 30 save performance.

The Dallas Stars put an end to a four game slide with a 2-0 victory against the visiting Calgary Flames on Tuesday. The big offense of the Flames struggled to put shots on the net and David Rittich stopped 26 shots in a losing performance.

Jamie Benn scored in the first for Dallas with Radek doubling the advantage with 2:43 remaining in the second. Ben Bishop picked up the win for the Stars with 21 saves to up his record to 11-8-1.

Over is 4-0-1 in Blackhawks last 5 road games vs. a team with a home winning % of greater than .600 and under is 2-0-2 in Blackhawks last 4 after allowing 2 goals or less in their previous game and Blackhawks are 1-6 in their last 7 games playing on 1 days rest. Stars are 0-4 in their last 4 vs. Central and under is 5-0-1 in Stars last 6 games following a win and under is 5-0-2 in Stars last 7 when their opponent scores 2 goals or less in their previous game. Blackhawks are 0-4 in the last 4 meetings and under is 3-1-1 in the last 5 meetings.

Both teams are gunning for back to back wins so I’ll go with the home team…

I don't participate in sporting events any longer but I do like to provide my opinion on games and writing gives me that outlet. I won't always be right but I always put 100% in to every article I do whether it's the World Series or an 0-10 college football team. Mitch shares that same passion and allows me to express myself in my own way.
