The Stars return home after their big win on the road against the Wild last night as they take on the defending champs in Dallas on Tuesday.
The Chicago Blackhawks head into Dallas on Tuesday night looking to prove why they are the defending Stanley Cup champions and hand them a taste of what they have been serving all season as the Hawks look to close the gap in the Central division. Chicago has won three games in a row and sit in second place in the division, trailing the Stars by eight points with an extra game played and they will have to face off against former goaltender Antii Niemi who loves playing his former team after he was deemed expendable a few seasons ago. The Hawks are 6-7-3 on the road this season and will likely turn to Corey Crawford here while the Stars are 13-4 at home and will counter with Niemi who was on the bench for the team's win over the Wild last night.
The Stars are on a roll this season and last night was no exception as they went into hostile territory and took down their former name sake in Minnesota and extended their winning ways to an impressive 25-7-2 this season. Dallas loaded up in the off season and were expected to be contenders this season but they have taken it a step further thus far and look like legitimate Cup threats and they will be out to prove it once again in this one but they know it'll be a tough out, even at home, as the Hawks are playing very well and have their own dynamic duo that has a ton more hardware. Dallas though is a very deep team and play well at home and add in the angle of Niemi playing against his old foes and I think the Stars get another big time victory.
