NHL action comes to the American Airlines Center where the Dallas Stars host the Florida Panthers.
The Florida Panthers have time to right the ship but the postseason has been inching further away with points in high demand. Florida has dropped five of seven after a 4-3 loss at the Nashville Predators on Saturday where Vincent Trocheck, Derek MacKenzie and Keith Yandle supplying the offense with Evegnii Dadonov adding two assists.
The Predators received a pair of goals from Kevin Fiala with Nick Bonino, and PK Subban also lighting the lamp. Bonino and Calle Jarnkrok gave Nashville a pair of helpers each and Pekka Rinne recorded 37 saves in the win while Harri Sateri stopped 25 shots to absorb the loss for the Panthers.
The Dallas Stars objective is to improve upon their current number four position in the Central for a better seed in the postseason. Dallas has been moving in the right direction with wins in three of four following a 7-1 victory at the Buffalo Sabres on Saturday. Sam Reinhart scored on the power play for the Sabres with Robin Lehner allowing four goals on 19 shots with Chad Johnson coming in to give up three goals on 13 shots.
Mattias Janmark paced an explosive Stars attack with a pair of goals with Remi Elie, Jaime Benn, Esa Lindell, Radek Faksa and Tyler Pitlick all finding the back of the net. John Klingberg gave Dallas three assists with Jason Spezza and Lindell logging two helpers each to make an easy winner of Kaei Lehtonen and his 26 saves.
