The undefeated Sharks head into Dallas looking for their seventh win in a row while the Stars look to spoil the party and end a two game slide.
What can we say about the San Jose Sharks this season that hasn’t already been said through their incredible play on the ice? The Sharks have looked remarkable through their first six contests, all of which were victories, and they have a chance to stay undefeated when they meet a Stars team who is without their starting netminder indefinitely. San Jose has been brilliant at both ends of the ice as they are first in the league in goals for and second in the league in goals against which equates to an incredible goal differential and consequentially a perfect record. San Jose isn’t going to win every game obviously but with the way they’re playing at the moment it doesn’t seem out of the question that we can expect a start from the Sharks that the Blackhawks had a year ago.
Dallas is a team in transition as they’re a cusp playoff contender but are in the midst of a rebuild as they have a number of pieces they need to add in order to be in the hunt and that should start in goal as Dan Ellis isn’t a viable option to start every night and Kari Lehtonen is out for the foreseeable future. However, playing at home usually gives any team a boost and when your opponent is undefeated it seems like all the pressure is on them which should play into Dallas’ favour but that isn’t to say they’ll be able to stop the Sharks from scoring. Dallas is better than people think but I am not willing to bet against San Jose until they lose.
