The Stars and Blues continue their second round series on Saturday night as they shift back to Dallas all knotted at two games apiece.
The St. Louis Blues spoiled an opportunity to sweep both games at home and send the Stars to the brink of elimination and now they head back to Texas on even terms for a pivotal game five show down that could go a long way in determining who emerges out of this series and heads into the Western Conference final. The Blues have been the better of the two teams throughout this series but an overtime winner from Cody Eakin held up as the difference for a Stars side that was in desperate need of a victory and they will look to carry that over back on home ice on Saturday night.
The Stars have been among the league’s best teams all season long and continue to prove why with resilient battles like we saw on Thursday night and now heading back home they are in a great spot to grab the series lead and move one step closer to the Stanley Cup final. Dallas is loaded in the offensive end but it was one of their secondary pieces in Eakin who wrapped up game four in one of the best shots of the entire playoffs but they know the Blues will be out for revenge and getting two more victories in this series is going to be incredibly tough for either team. This should be a very exciting contest and while this series should go the distance I have to side with the Blues here who have been the better team through four games and have shown they can win in Dallas once already.
