The Canucks head into Dallas on Friday looking to send the Stars to a rare loss while the home side can extend their Western Conference lead with a victory.
The Canucks face off against the Stars on Friday looking to take over second place in the Pacific with a victory but will be in tough against a Dallas team who is very tough to be in general let alone on home ice. Vancouver forward Alex Burrows came out this week and said they are going to have to have all 20 players on their game and stop the Dallas offense if they’re going to have a chance to win and while that game plan has been implemented 22 times already against he Stars only five have been successful. Ryan Miller is expected to start as he will go up against Kari Lehtonen.
The Stars dropped just their fifth game of the season in their last outing as they dropped a 7-4 decision to the Ottawa Senators marking their third loss of the year against the Atlantic division. Dallas wasn’t on their game defensively and both Antii Niemi and Lehtonen had a tough evening but even in defeat the Stars never gave up and look like a power house to be reckoned with this season as they have a spectacular offense and a serviceable defense. Dallas is lethal at home and while Vancouver has been decent on the road I don’t see them getting anything here.
