The Lightning look to complete the come back and take the deciding game seven show down at home against the Red Wings on Wednesday night.
The Detroit Red Wings have held the series lead on three separate occasions so far as the teams have alternated wins and losses but now it comes down to a do or die for both sides and the Wings have an uphill battle to climb as the series shifts back to Tampa Bay. The Wings have already won two games in Tampa in this series so it wouldn't come as a huge surprise if they did it again but to do it three times in a four game stretch is very tough to do and if Detroit is going to find a way to win here they'll need another stellar effort out of Petr Mrazek. The Wings have the playoff experience but it is Tampa who was the better team during the regular season and despite the record in this series so far the Bolts were actually a very good home team this season while the Wings struggled a bit on the road.
The Lightning haven't been at their best across the first six games of their series with the Detroit Red Wings as they have seen their offense dry up some nights and Steven Stamkos has yet to score a goal but that could all be forgotten thanks to the play of Tyler Johnson. The Lightning forward has had three two-goal games in this series and has certainly picked up the slack offensively and he will be a key part once again as they move into game seven on Wednesday night. This series as mentioned has been a see-saw battle as the team's have alternated wins and if that trend is to continue it'll be the Wings moving on and the Lightning going home but if the odds makers have their say it is Tampa going through and Detroit packing it in. While the Wings have more experience, the Lightning have home ice in this spot for a reason and I am going to side with them here as they get another big time win and move on to face the Canadiens.
