The Boston Bruins welcome the Detroit Red Wings to town for a Sunday NHL tilt.
The surging Detroit Red Wings have won six of seven following a 4-0 victory against visiting New Jersey on Friday. New Jersey was unable to get their offense going and Mackenzie Blackwood was charged with the loss with three goals allowed on 32 shots.
Danny DeKeyser, Dylan Larkin, Tyler Bertuzzi and Andreas Athanasiou all found the back of the net for Detroit. Bertuzzi also posted a pair of helpers for the Red Wings while Jimmy Howard stopped seven shots and Jonathan Bernier recorded 27 saves.
The Boston Bruins have dropped two of three after a 4-1 loss to visiting Florida on Saturday. Noel Acciari scored in the second period for Boston that cut their deficit to 2-1. Torey Krug and Joakin Nordstrom posted assists for the Bruins and Tuuka Rask gave up three goals on 22 shots to get the loss.
Evgenii Dadonov tallied in the first and third for Florida with Riley Sheahan and Troy Brouwer adding markers. Jonathan Huberdeau assisted twice for the Panthers and Roberto Luongo picked up the win with 30 saves.
Bruins are 8-2 in their last 10 vs. Atlantic and Bruins are 20-6 in their last 26 overall and Bruins are 73-32 in their last 105 games as a favorite.
