Wednesday NHL action features the Anaheim Ducks visiting the Florida Panthers.

The Anaheim Ducks haven’t done anything of note this season but might be on their way with wins in three of four following a 3-1 victory at Tampa Bay on Tuesday. Brayden Point scored in the second for the Lightning with Louis Dominigue getting the loss with three goals allowed on 23 shots.

Anaheim received scoring off the sticks of Josh Manson, Nick Ritchie and Carter Rowney. Ritchie also had an assist and Pontus Aberg logged two helpers for the Ducks who Ryan Miller record 38 saves to pick up the win.

The Florida Panthers are gunning for consecutive victories after a 4-3 OT win against visiting New Jersey ended a three game skid. New Jersey received goals from Miles Wood, Blake Coleman and Jesper Bratt. Sami Vantanen gave the Devils two helpers with Keith Kinkaid giving up four goals on 34 shots to get the loss.

The Panthers received regulation goals from Aleksander Barkov, Jared McCann and Jonathan Hubrdeau. Mike Hoffman secured the win for Florida with his overtime winner while Huberdeau assisted twice to make the 29 saves of James Reimer hold up.

Ducks are 0-6 in their last 6 road games and under is 4-0 in Ducks last 4 vs. Eastern Conference and Ducks are 1-4 in their last 5 in the fourth game of a 4-in-6 situation. Over is 4-0 in Panthers last 4 vs. a team with a losing record and over is 6-1 in Panthers last 7 overall and over is 5-1 in Panthers last 6 games playing on 1 days rest. Ducks are 1-4 in the last 5 meetings in Florida and under is 3-1-2 in the last 6 meetings and home team is 5-2 in the last 7 meetings.

This looks like risky business for sure but these teams don’t have much to go on…

I have been a sports fan since I was old enough to pick up a ball and have always been drawn to competition. I don't participate in sporting events any longer but I do like to provide my opinion on games and writing gives me that outlet. I won't always be right but I always put 100% in to every article I do whether it's the World Series or an 0-10 college football team. Mitch shares that same passion and allows me to express myself in my own way.
