The New York Rangers go on the road to face the Florida Panthers in NHL action.
The New York Rangers have been in a bit of a funk with losses in five of six after falling to visiting Winnipeg 4-3 in a shootout on Sunday. New York led 3-0 heading to the third on goals from Jesper Fast, Mark Staal and Chris Kreider. Mika Zibanejad posted two assists and scored the lone goal for New York in the SO while Henrik Lunqvist stopped 39 shots.

The Florida Panthers have been struggling to piece together wins and that trend continued in a 5-2 loss to visiting Colorado on Thursday. Florida received goals from Colton Sceviour and Aaron Ekblad while Roberto Luongo gave up four goals on 36 shots to get the loss.
Carl Soderberg led the Colorado offense with a pair of markers with Mikko Pantanen, JT Compher and Gabriel Landeskog also reaching the scoring column. Landeskog also had an assist for the Avalanche who received 33 saves from Philipp Grubauer.
