Thursday NHL action features the Florida Panthers hosting the Pittsburgh Penguins.

The Pittsburgh Pirates have suffered back to back defeats following a 4-0 loss to visiting Carolina on Tuesday. The Penguins didn’t get off many shots and Matt Murray gave up three goals on 31 shots.

Carolina received goals from Jordan Martinook, Brett Pesce, Micheal Ferland and Andrei Svechnikov. Ten players recorded points for the Hurricanes who received 23 saves from Curtis McElhinney.

The Florida Panthers have dropped two of three after a 3-2 loss to visiting St. Louis on Tuesday. Florida led 2-0 on goals from Henrik Borgstrom and Aleksander Barkov with James Reimer absorbing the loss with three goals scoring on 34 shots.

Colton Parayko, Ryan O’Reilly and Vince Dunn scored in the third for St. Louis and Jordan Binnington picked up the win with 22 saves.
