NHL action on Tuesday brings us the St. Louis Blues taking the ice at the Florida Panthers.

The St. Louis Blues have three of four following a 4-2 win at Columbus on Saturday. Oliver Bjorkstrand and Pierre-Luc Dubois scored in the third for Columbus. Artemi Panarin posted two helpers and Joonas Korpisalo gave up three goals on 32 shots to absorb the loss for the Blue Jackets.

St. Louis received offense from Ryan O’Reilley, Carl Gunnarsson, Vladimir Tarasenko and Oskar Sundqvist. Tarasenko added a pair of assists and Brayden Schenn supplied three helpers for the Blues to make the 18bsaves of Jordan Binnington a winner.

The Florida Panthers have notched victories in three of four after upending visiting Vegas 3-1 on Saturday. Max Pacioretty scored a first period goal for the Golden Knights and Marc-Andre Fleury gave up two goals on 24 shots to get the win.

Aleksander Barkov lit the lamp in the first for Florida with Mike Hoffman and Frank Vatrano scoring in the third. Barkov also had an assist for the Panthers who received 34 saves from James Reimer.

Under is 5-0 in Blues last 5 when their opponent allows 2 goals or less in their previous game and over is 3-0-1 in Blues last 4 road games and under is 5-1-1 in Blues last 7 vs. Eastern Conference. Over is 9-1-1 in Panthers last 11 games following a win and over is 7-1-1 in Panthers last 9 after allowing 2 goals or less in their previous game and Panthers are 4-1 in their last 5 home games vs. a team with a losing road record. Over is 4-0 in the last 4 meetings and Blues are 5-1 in the last 6 meetings in Florida and road team is 6-2 in the last 8 meetings.

Both teams are around .500 and need to string wins together but the over seems like a logical choice here…

I have been a sports fan since I was old enough to pick up a ball and have always been drawn to competition. I don't participate in sporting events any longer but I do like to provide my opinion on games and writing gives me that outlet. I won't always be right but I always put 100% in to every article I do whether it's the World Series or an 0-10 college football team. Mitch shares that same passion and allows me to express myself in my own way.
