The Panthers look to build off of last night’s big win over the Blackhawks as they welcome their instate rivals on Saturday.
The Tampa Bay Lightning look to extend their impressive winning streak to eight games and close the gap in the Atlantic division that is currently at three heading into tonight action. The Bolts have been up and down this season and a couple of weeks ago they were out of a playoff spot but thanks to a lengthy winning streak they are almost back on top and could be trending in the right direction for the final half of the season. The Bolts will turn to Ben Bishop here as he will face off against Al Montoya who should get the start after Roberto Luongo got the nod against the Hawks last night.
The Panthers got one of their biggest wins of the season last night as they blanked the defending champs by a 4-0 but perhaps face an even more important game in this one as the Lightning are hot on their heels for the Atlantic division lead. Florida is a very good team and should set up well for a run in the Eastern Conference playoffs and even with Luongo on the bench they have a great shot at grabbing another win despite the hot play from the Bolts. In the end I like this one to stay under the number as Bishop has been lights out and Montoya has had a very nice year as the Florida back up.
