The Panthers and Lightning meet up in the Battle of the Sunshine State on Monday in this Atlantic division show down.
The Tampa Bay Lightning travel to Sunrise on Monday to battle the Panthers at the BB&T Center and will look to get back in the win column after an overtime loss pushed their mark to 3-6-1 in their last 10 games and at .500 on the year. The Bolts have been struggling a bit to start the campaign and have fallen short of expectations thus far after they lost in the Cup final a year ago but they have the pieces to right the ship and if their offense can get rolling they are going to be a tough team to slow down. Ben Bishop remains one of the more underrated netminders in the league and he will get the call in this one as he goes up against Roberto Luongo in what should be a very tightly contested affair.
The Panthers head into Monday night's game sitting two points back of the Lightning in the Atlantic division but do have two games in hand and will have the edge being at home in this one in what should be a game that comes down to the wire. Florida in my opinion is just as talented as the Bolts are on the back end and in the crease and while the Lightning have the edge in terms of fire power we haven't seen the same sense of high octane production from them yet and until they have a game where the offense makes the difference I think we can look at fading them. Florida is a good team and I like them as a home dog.
