The Vegas Golden Knights go to Sunrise, Florida to take on the Florida Panthers on Thursday at the BB&T Center. The Golden Knights are coming off of a loss to the Tampa Bay Lightning, snapping a two-game winning streak, defeating the Carolina Hurricanes and the Nashville Predators in their last game. Their win over the Hurricanes snapped a two-game losing streak, losing to the Boston Bruins and the Montreal Canadiens. The Golden Knights have only won two of their last five, which was the win streak and have been a bit inconsistent as of late.

The Vegas Golden Knights are 27-21-7 on the season and are 13-11-4 on the road. The Vegas Golden Knights have jumped from fourth place in the Pacific Division to third place in the division due to their winning streak.

The Panthers are coming off of a loss to the Columbus Blue Jackets, but have still won three of their last four games and were on a six-game winning streak in early January that spanned over four weeks as the Panthers won the rest of the month of January.

The Panthers are 29-17-6 on the season and are third in the Atlantic Division with 64 points. Florida has a great offense, as they have scored the fifth-most goals in the NHL this season. The Panthers aren’t as hot as they were last month, but if they continue to put on a run of games that are half of what they did last month, they will be one of the best teams in the NHL.
Vegas is 22-33 ATS this season
Golden Knights are 3-7 in their last ten overall.
Florida is 27-25 ATS this season
Panthers are 4-0 in their last four vs. Western Conference.

Both teams were amazing last month, maybe the two best teams in all of the NHL in January, and have now come back down to earth a bit. Both teams are also very close to being at the top of their division but still sit in third place. The Panthers are in one of the toughest divisions in the NHL but have fared very well so far this season, and a few wins and the Golden Knights can skyrocket to the top of the standings as quickly as they fell, as they are only four points away from the top. I think this game will be insanely close, but I like Florida since they are at home in this one. Final Score Prediction, Florida Panthers win 3-2.
