The Chicago Blackhawks avoided a three game skid with a 4-3 victory at Anaheim on Wednesday. Devin Shore and Carter Rowney scored first period goals for Anaheim with Troy Terry lighting the lamp in the third. Ryan Miller received the loss for the Ducks with four goals allowed on 35 shots.
Alex Debrincat tallied twice for the Blackhawks with Artem Anisimov and Patrick Kane finding the back of the net. Erik Gustafsson and Jonathan Toews supplied two assists each for Chicago and Corey Crawford recorded 29 saves to get the win.
The Los Angeles Kings saw their losing streak reach ten games with a 4-3 OT loss to visiting Dallas on Thursday.
Anze Kopitar led Los Angeles with a pair of tallies with Brendan Leipsic also finding the back of the net. Kopitar also had an assist and Jonathan Quick gave up four goals on 33 shots to salvage a point for the Kings.
The Stars received goals from Tyler Sequin, Radek Faksa and Mattias Janmark in regulation with Roope Hintz netting the winner in overtime. Ben Lovejoy and Blake Comeau added two helpers each and Anton Khudobin allowed three goals on 30 shots to pick up the win for Dallas.
